Breast Imaging Centers

State-of-the-art breast health in a relaxed, comfortable setting

RIMI mammography services are now fully 3D across all of its locations. 3D mammography is the latest technology in breast imaging. It combines multiple images (slices) to create one 3D image of the breast (2D mammography shows the breast from the top and side views only).

3D mammography enables radiologists to see breast tissue more clearly, especially in patients with dense breast tissue. It has additionally been found to detect breast cancer earlier and reduce the need for patient re-evaluation.

Our breast imaging centers have been certified by the American College of Radiology (ACR) as Designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Centers. This high honor recognizes excellence in breast imaging and for providing exceptional quality imaging leading to better patient outcomes.

Our four spa-like diagnostic breast imaging centers offer comprehensive breast health care to all Rhode Islanders. RIMI’s team of highly skilled physicians are specially trained to read breast images and our patient-focused staff support you throughout the process.

From state-of-the-art 3D mammography available at 12 locations to breast ultrasound and breast biopsy services, you can trust you are getting the most accurate results possible at RIMI.

East Greenwich and Johnston locations bring spa-like boutique feel

RIMI’s two newest Breast Imaging Centers bring a warm and welcoming boutique feel and offer state-of-the-art 3D mammography and comprehensive breast health services. No other facilities like them currently exist in the state.

Soft pink robes (no hospital gowns here) and a relaxing waterfall bring a different kind of diagnostic imaging experience to our guests. All with the comfort of knowing you’re receiving the best possible care from our team of highly skilled physicians that are specially trained to read breast images. Why would you go anywhere else?

RIMI also offers the first non-hospital-based Brevera Breast Biopsy Systems in Rhode Island. This advanced technology means patients experience faster procedures, spend less time under compression and have a more positive biopsy experience.
