Dr. Rao earned her medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and completed her Fifth Pathway Certification at New York Medical College. She performed her diagnostic radiology residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. Following this, she completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging at the University of Virginia. Dr. Rao has been an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and an Attending Radiologist at the Lynn Sage Comprehensive Breast Center. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology and has extensive experience in professional activities, including institutional service, teaching, and numerous invited lectures and presentations on breast imaging. Dr. Rao has also contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and is involved in significant breast cancer research. She is joining Rhode Island Medical Imaging as a Breast Radiologist and Director of Breast Imaging.
