SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Director of Information Services and according to established policies and procedures, this position contributes to the overall operation of the organization by maintaining corporate wide networked resources including hardware and software deployment and installation.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sets up, installs and maintains new personal computers and peripherals according to company guidelines. Installs and configures client based software.
Assists the I.T. staff with day-to-day tasks as well as participates in larger projects/upgrades as needed and at the Director Information Services discretion.
Has the ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues independently with all levels of internal and external customers including RIMI radiologists and external referring physicians.
Maintains documentation related to issue resolution in company designated system for reference by all IT personnel.
Involved with inventory auditing procedures to assists to maintain an accurate account of company hardware and software.
Maintains a professional working relationship with RIMI employees, service contract vendors, RIMI radiologists and external referring physicians/office staff.
Assists IT staff with new installation of server based software products.
Creates and maintains system images for computers at affiliated hospitals and RIMI sites.
May be asked to wipe company electronic data on retired hard disks and similar storage media to Department of Defense standards.
Provides basic telecommunications support among various RIMI offices.
Provides Help Desk support for RIMI system users by answering incoming calls in a courteous and helpful manner. Will either resolve the issue or triage the issue to identify who to forward to for resolution. Records and tracks the issue, reports back to the user and records the resolution to the issue.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. A+ and Microsoft certifications preferred. Interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of internal and external users and vendors.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one year experience installing, troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware and software in a multi-protocol WAN environment preferred.
Proven written and oral communication skills.
Is familiar with Microsoft Office suite products, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Anti-virus software, and image cloning software.
