Job Summary
Locations and Day Time Hours Vary. Under the general supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist and according to established policies and procedures, this individual will be responsible to perform and ensure appropriate quality control, provide requested films of high diagnostic quality based on the specifics of each case, interact effectively and professionally with patients, referring physicians and their staffs, and fellow employees while maintaining the best possible patient flow and throughput at all times.
Job Requirements
Physical dexterity and strength to operate all types of MR related equipment, properly position patients and handling of patient films and files.
Conceptual ability to determine means of providing requested studies based on the specifics of each case.
Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, referring physicians and staff, the radiologist, fellow employees, supplier and service representatives and any and all others who they come in contact with during the course of the business day.
Organizational skills as required by the position.
Analytical skills to compile and interpret data.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide proper patient care.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills to perform exams as outlined by governing bodies and RIMI protocol.
Bilingual is preferred, but not required.(Spanish/Portuguese)

Rhode Island Medical Imaging (RIMI) has a network of 13 private state-of-the-art medical diagnostic imaging facilities that are staffed by over 70 board certified radiologists with broad-based experience and subspecialty training in Bone Densitometry (DEXA), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) including the most extensive 3T MRI imaging network in Rhode Island, Mammography, Ultrasound, and X-ray.
RIMI radiologists perform and interpret imaging in Rhode Island at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Miriam Hospital, Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital, Roger Williams Medical Center, and Women & Infants Hospital, and most recently at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA.
